Pokekara is a karaoke app available in the Japanese market. I worked with other designers to improve the Search and Play Music experience. In addition, I also designed the mascot for marketing use.

I joined the team working on Search Result Enhancement on my third day in the company. In order to onboard the mobile karaoke services and contribute to the functionality enhancement, I analyzed the features of 5 popular competitors.

Problem:
Pokekara needed to stand out from competitors and boost organic engagement in a crowded market.
Action:
I developed a comprehensive mascot identity, transforming it into animations, online emojis, stickers, and other merchandise.
Result:
These initiatives resonated with millions of daily active users and contributed to Pokekara achieving the No. 1 ranking on both the Japanese App Store and Google Play overall rankings.
